Payment Cancellation

ICATT (International Critical Care Air Ambulance Transfer Team) provides medical evacuation air ambulance services through Charter Aircraft, Commercial Air Ambulance, or Commercial Stretcher case arrangements, in accordance with the terms set out below. Payment terms, cancellation charges, refunds, and overstay charges are governed separately by ICATT’s Payment and Cancellation Policy.

01. Flight Confirmation: ICATT will confirm the medical evacuation flight only after the full payment, or the applicable advance, has been received.

02. Commercial Stretcher: A 25% advance is to be paid before the process begins. Once permission is granted, the balance full payment is to be made to enable ticket issuance and to initiate the transfer process within 4 hours. The airline requires a minimum of 3 to 4 working days to approve the case upon submission of the complete MED FORM and to confirm stretcher availability.

Once a stretcher is booked, it cannot be cancelled; applicable airline rules and additional costs will apply if postponement is required. The advance shall be refunded after deduction of a 15% processing fee (of the total quote) if the family cancels before the MED FORM is approved, and after deduction of a 10% processing fee (of the total quote) if the MED FORM is rejected by the airline.

03. Cancellation of a Medical Charter Flight: Once the full payment receives, a flight is confirmed and activated, the following cancellation policy shall apply:

  • 25% of the charges, based on estimated flying time, will be deducted if a confirmed booking is cancelled more than 72 hours before the scheduled departure.
  • 50% of the charges, based on estimated flying time, will be deducted if a confirmed booking is cancelled between 72 and 48 hours before the scheduled departure.
  • 75% of the charges, based on estimated flying time, will be deducted if a confirmed booking is cancelled between 48 and 24 hours before the scheduled departure.
  • 100% of the charges, based on estimated flying time, will be deducted in case of a no-show, or cancellation of a confirmed booking, within 24 hours of the scheduled departure.
  • 100% of the charges will be deducted if the aircraft has departed from base and the medical team has already been assigned for the transfer.

04. Refund of Cancelled Flights: Refunds for cancelled flights will be processed in accordance with the cancellation policy set out above and issued within 7 days. This timeline may be extended on account of bank holidays or other non-working days.

05. Overstay Charges: Flights are planned so that the medical team arrives at the hospital, prepares the patient, and proceeds directly to the airport for departure. If the patient’s condition deteriorates and further stabilization is required for an additional day, an overnight stay charge of Rs 5,00,000/- will apply.

06. Cancellation of Commercial Airline Stretcher Cases: For Commercial Stretcher bookings, cancellation charges and refund eligibility are governed by Clause (II) above. Once a stretcher has been confirmed and booked with the airline, it cannot be cancelled and no refund will be provided. Refunds, subject to the applicable processing fee deductions specified in Clause (II), are available only for cancellations made prior to stretcher booking confirmation.
