Thousands of patients are flying down to Hyderabad to be treated due to the unprecedented health crisis posed due to Coronavirus. There is a shortage of hospital beds across India.
One day in a meeting, Mr Somesh Kumar, IAS, Telangana chief secretary, announced that the state had the necessary beds and oxygen to provide quality treatment for Coronavirus patients. Testimonial of a patient regarding his transfer to Hyderabad via ICATT
“My cousin was in a very critical condition, and after trying many treatment options in a hospital in Jamshedpur, the doctor there said the situation was hopeless.
We started getting in touch with air ambulance services, but many of them said it would take at least two days to initiate the transfer. But the ICATT Air Ambulance team said that they would initiate air transfer within 24 hrs and helped us contact a hospital in Hyderabad. After taking all necessary clearances and permissions, the transfer was scheduled successfully. The transfer has been done the very next day,” said a relative of the patient receiving treatment in Hyderabad.
Many patients are being transferred to Hyderabad for high-quality medicare from the cities like Mumbai, Rajkot, Raipur, Patna, Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Nagpur.
